Spiritual wellness simply means to live a values-based, authentic life.

Your personal values are a central part of who you are and who you want to be. You probably already have some beliefs or guiding principles that influence your behavior, how you make decisions, your leadership style, and your overall disposition in your personal and/or professional life.

Wellness in this context is about knowing who you are and what is important to you, and then having the courage to live your life in accordance with your own personal values, goals, and beliefs. It requires self-knowledge and awareness to be connected to your values and desires and so that you can act deliberately in ways that are consistent with those qualities.

A Values-Based Coaching session may be beneficial for you if you experience:

  • Depression or anxiety

  • Frustration or lack of fulfillment

  • Low self-esteem or lack of self-worth

  • Lack of meaningful relationships

  • Lack of intimacy or trust in relationships

  • Feelings of being stuck

Values-Based Coaching Basics

  • The short answer is no. Spiritual wellness will look differently for everyone because everyone has their own personal experiences that have shaped their perspectives and belief systems. In this way it doesn’t matter if you have religious beliefs and you believe in God, or if you believe in the synchronicities of the Universe, or you don’t believe in a higher power at all. All beliefs are valid. Wellness in this context is about getting clear on your values and the behaviors that support them so that you can make the best choice for yourself in any situation.

  • Defining your personal values can be a game changer in your life, however, knowing what you value is meaningless without taking action. It is equally important that our behavior, habits, thoughts, words, and actions are in alignment with what we value. In a one-on-one coaching session I will help you discover who you are, uncover what is truly important to you, and identify goals and behaviors that will support you being in alignment with your values.

  • Coaching sessions are typically 90 minutes. Please bring a notebook and something to write with as we will do several thought-provoking exercises together, including the topics of why you scheduled an appointment, what you're hoping to achieve, defining core values, and how you can take deliberate steps towards behaviors that support those values. The end of the session will be reserved for discussion of integration and next steps.

  • I offer one-on-one sessions that can either be in-person in Sugarhouse, or virtual sessions via Zoom. Virtual sessions will require you to be in a quiet place with minimal distractions with a good internet connection where you will be comfortable being on video.
